Hi, I am Cheryl Aoys and I am a certified personal trainer, core conditioning specialist, High Fitness and UpBeat Barre Instructor. I reside in the Temescal Valley area, and my foundation for fitness came at a young age as a gymnast. My athletic interest continued throughout my high school years, where I was a swimmer, track and field runner, cheerleader, and dancer.
I am a mother of three boys. After I had my second son, I found myself at my heaviest. I was working long hours at a stressful career, and I fell into the trap of doing little to no exercise, constantly eating out, and not making the healthiest choices. I had constant nausea, among other issues, including feeling drained of energy all the time. I knew it was time for a change of pace. I changed industries and took a job at a large corporate gym, where I worked with a personal trainer. I became obsessed with learning about health and fitness. I learned how to strength train, and eat mostly Whole Foods with balanced macros. I got back into the best shape of my life. I knew I wanted to help others do the same! So, I created SoreCore Training, to give members of my community the option of working with a personal trainer in a small group setting, or to work with me one on one to help reach their goals!
